JAMES ROBERT MCQUEEN
December 30, 1942 - March 20, 2021
James was predeceased by his parents, George and Beatrice McQueen; brother Wayne (2019); and loving wife of 37 years, Joan (2011). He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his son Steven, daughter-in-law Cheryl, and grandchildren, Haley (Paul), Aidan, and Brody; sister-in-law Barbara McQueen; stepson Robert Boyce (Lyn Lyn) and family; and devoted stepdaughter Joan Boyce.
Jim was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and moved to California as a young adult, where his son was born, and later to Oregon. He did a variety of jobs throughout his life but had a special place in his heart for having been a school bus driver. Jim was a proud McQueen; he believed strongly in the significance of the name he both received and passed to his son and grandchildren and was loyal to the clan motto of "constant and faithful". He was proud of his culture and never tired of hearing about Cheryl's latest finds in the family tree! Jim was a man of strongly held opinions, full of warmth and kindness, and fond of a good laugh. He was mechanically inclined for fixing things (which he passed to his son) and enjoyed being outdoors. He missed his wife Joan dearly.
At Jim's request, he has been cremated and no service will be held.
We are so grateful to Joan for her loving care of Dad.
