ANNA MARIA DI BIAGGIO
(nee BUTTAZZONI)
April 13, 1945 - March 19, 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Maria Di Biaggio , nee Buttazzoni. She left us peacefully after a courageous and brief battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by her loving husband Gildo of 56 years, and adoring daughters, Cinzia and Daniela.
Anna Maria was born on April 13, 1945 in San Daniele Del Friuli, Italy. She met her husband in her home town movie theatre and from there their love story began. She followed her love and immigrated to Canada in 1966 and began married life with her husband making Winnipeg their home.
She was an amazingly giving person both with her time and affections. She will always be remembered for her kind heart and feisty personality.
Anna delighted in her family and friends, she revered everyone. Remembering her are grandchildren, Nicholas, Luca and Sara; sons-in-law, Duncan and Riccardo; brother Renzo, sisters-in-law, Lidia and Pierina; and brother-in-law Luciano, as well as nieces and nephews, Annamaria, Laura (Darrel), Stefania, Fabiana (Fabio), Gino, Barbara, Marcus and Eros.
Due to COVID restrictions a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Please consider a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.

Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • I can’t believe my dear friend Anna has passed away. I worked with Anna at Jostens for many years. She was a remarkable woman and it was always such a pleasure to be in her presence. We lost contact over the years but I never forgot her. She will be in my heart forever. A wonderful woman who made such a positive impression on me. She truly loved Gildo her husband and all her family because she would boast about them often and I loved that about her. My sincere condolences to Gildo, Cinzia, Daniela and the family.
