GEORGE EDWARD LEPINE
January 5, 1939 - March 11, 2021
He is survived by his wife Sharon, of 59 plus years, son George (Lina) of Toronto, daughter Lise (Doug), and their three children, Wesley, Amy, Matthew, of Calgary; siblings, Monique, Ed, and Candice, along with many nieces and nephews.
George was born, raised, and educated in St. Boniface.
In 2006 we moved to Calgary to be closer to our grandchildren and saw them grow up to be happy and healthy young adults. George was my life partner, best friend, and confidante. He was my Fred Astaire, my Gene Kelly - a most wonderful and smooth dancer.
My family and I miss him dearly and will lovingly remember him for the rest of our lives.

I grew up hearing the story of when I came into the world – my Dad patiently waiting for me in the hospital to be born. I decided to take my time so my Mom ultimately sent him home, only for me to arrive soon afterwards. After my arrival, I practiced using my vocal chords every chance I could get – as long as my Dad was holding me. I love this story now because it reminds me of how much I have been just like my Dad – doing things on my own time, my own terms, and never afraid to use my voice – no matter how loud! I already miss you Dad, for always being in my corner or setting me straight, the greatest listener, consistently making me laugh, and sharing our “A+ in common sense”. Although the void is unimaginable right now, I feel you are at peace, resting, and hopefully watching us. Dad, you have left your children and grandchildren a legacy of love and respect. Love, Lisey xo - Posted by: Lise Munro (Daughter) on: Mar 29, 2021

George and I became instant Buddies the first time we met. There are so many things that can be said about the redeeming qualities of my dear departed friend whose conversations I will miss. I chose 4 mentors for the formation of my life and business. My father was one, he is gone. George was another he is gone. Another has disappeared and the last one is ill. This is why it is so important to cherish every moment and opportunity to be with the people who matter. Sharon, George Lise and your families, my heart goes out to you because I know the kind of person George was and he is irreplaceable. There was only one, and it was high quality and first class all the time. He was a great man a true mensch. I am going to miss him, but not as much as you, sorry you have experience this part of life. - Posted by: Dave Grant (Old Friend) on: Mar 28, 2021

Dad you were always a man of great success - you truly lived the way YOU wanted to live. You could laugh at yourself and you made everyone around you laugh so very often. You made people feel special, regardless who they were or where they came from. I love you very much because of what you taught me, I have gained the respect of others as a direct result of your teachings, your knowledge and your love which flows through me. Dad, one of the greatest gifts you ever gave me is that you believed in me. I'm am proud to be a Lepine, and even prouder to say that you are my Dad. I will miss our talks, sharing humor and our stories. Even though your passing has ended your life here, it will never ever end our beautiful relationship Dad - its never good-bye. I will see you again, sometime soon - Me-Do-Gwa-Midden-Me-Dah (Cree-Metis), Your Son, George... - Posted by: George Jason Lepine (Son) on: Mar 27, 2021
