NORMAN WYER
August 24, 1931 - March 20, 2021
He is survived by his wife Elnora (Elly); two sons, Michael (Pat) and Nigel (Tracie); grandchildren, Nigel, Carla, Farron and Michael; great-grandchildren, Bella and Beau. Norm was predeceased in 1965 by his first wife Brenda in Nottingham, England. He was also predeceased by brother Albert and sister Elsie.
Norm was born in Nottingham, England. He served in the army and was a member of the Sherwood Forresters and stationed in Germany. After the army, he became a long distance "lorry" driver continuing this occupation in Canada.
In 1966 Norm took a bold move and with his two sons, he immigrated to Winnipeg, Canada. Norm settled in the Weston area of Winnipeg and was a member of the Brooklands Weston Legion for over 50 years. In his retirement years he and Elly spent years travelling in the USA and particularly enjoyed the Rio Grand Valley in Texas.
In his younger years Norm loved to sing and entertained many at the Legion. He loved sports, especially soccer, boxing and of course the Jets.
After suffering a good while, he is now in a better place.
We'll see you down the road Dad.
Norm has been cremated. There will be no service.

Nigel, Farron and Michael, Sending our condolences to you all in the loss of your dad and Grampa. We have very fond memories of Norm when he and Ely would come to visit you. The kids all had so much fun in the RV and Jenna enjoyed her trips to visit at the cabin in Grindstone. We will keep you in our thoughts.
