ROBERT MURRAY
Robert is survived by his loving spouse and life partner, Margaret Baker; daughters, Linda Newbold (Todd), Michelle Cheang (Kim), and son Mark Murray (Annie). Robert also left behind his seven grandchildren, Meaghan, Samantha, Chelsea, Zachary, Danielle (Graeme), Victoria, Nicolas, and great-granddaughter Charlotte.
Robert was born in Glasgow, Scotland and there he trained to become a journeyman painter and decorator. He married Margaret and they immigrated to Winnipeg with their three children in 1970.
Robert will be very sadly missed by many in Scotland including his sister, Margaret (Alec) and her family, also Isabelle (David), and Robert (Christine) in Toronto. Robert had far too many family and friends to name as he came from a family of 14. All knew him for his two passions in life, Celtic football club, and golf. He belonged to St. Boniface Golf Club for many years.
Robert's life was a life well lived! He was loved beyond measure!
As 18 flags flew at half mast, and glasses were soberly raised high, the latest member was having a ball, at the golf course in the sky!
Cremation has taken place and a private family funeral will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Arthritis Society.

When he was home a few years ago, we met up and headed to Celtic park. It was one or the first time he had watched a game in the new stadium. Celtic won well that day. We went on and spent a great day in the pub with a few friends talking about the good old days. Robert you will be sadly missed. God bless and RIP. - Posted by: James Forrest (Nephew ) on: Mar 28, 2021
