JEANNOT ROBERT
March 21, 1949 - March 28, 2021
He will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 50 years, Yvonne; his children, Joanne, Alain (Rachel), Marco (Danielle) and his grandchildren, Zoe, Kia, Mateo, Alex, Ashton, Rheanne, Olivia and Max.
He was predeceased by his parents, Florent and Augustine (nee Levesque) his brothers, Gilles and Kenneth, his brothers-in-law, Louis, Gerard, and sisters-in-law, Margaret and Pat. He is survived by his siblings, Laurence, Raymond, Lorene (Paul), Donald (Karla), Carole, Guy (Gabrielle), his sister-in-law Florence, and so many great friends and extended family.
Jeannot was raised seven miles south of Ste. Agathe and later made his home in Ste. Agathe where he's been passionate about his community ever since. Jeannot owned and operated the Ste. Agathe Service Centre from 1975 to 2000 which he proudly transferred to his son Alain. He built the depanneur Cheyenne with his wife Yvonne and spent countless hours developing residential subdivisions. Jeannot served his community as an elected official in the RM of Ritchot, school trustee and long-time member of the Ste. Agathe CDI, among countless other volunteer committees. Jeannot had an unwavering dedication to making the community a better place to live for his family and friends.
Jeannot was an honest and humble man devoted to his family with a profound appreciation for life. He was honoured to be a recipient of the Manitoba 150 award for his work and many successful efforts to grow his community. He is proud to know that his passion has sparked initiatives in the younger generation who continue to grow and better the town of Ste. Agathe.
We would like to take this opportunity to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Ste. Agathe and surrounding community members for their unwavering support during these trying times. Special thanks to the Southern Health Palliative care team for their dedication and support.
Due to the current Covid restrictions, the family has decided to plan a mass and Celebration of Life in the future.

We are so thankful to have known Jeannot and will have many fond memories of him. We became very good friends with Jeannot & Yvonne about 6 years ago when they moved next door to us at the lake. Jeannot was a happy go lucky, not a worry in the world type of guy who would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. The lake is not the same without him. We miss his company & friendship particularly listening & dancing to our favourite classic oldies music at each others campsite. We shared so many good laughs and good times with him, especially our fishing get togethers. Rest in Peace our good friend. Tim & Chris (friends) - Posted by: Tim Mcdonald (Friend) on: Apr 05, 2021

Mes sincères sympathie à la famille Jeannot Robert, I had the pleasure of growing up with your family as my neighbours. My fondest memories of Jeannot was halloween. Yvonne and Jeannot always went all out in dressing up for halloween socials at the old community center. They where always unrecognisable and kept in character. On a side note, Jeannot was the most generous when it came to paying the babysitter at the end of a night out with Yvonne. Jeannot will always be remembered as one of the good guys. Je pense à vous Yvonne et famille. Lynne - Posted by: Lynne Lemoine (Encienne voisine et gardienne) on: Apr 01, 2021

So sorry to hear. I know it’s been a long hard road! Have good memories of my few visits there with Phil. I definitely understand the road you’ve travelled - the good times, the hopeful times, and the very discouraging times. Just know, that just as God, family and friends have been there through the good and bad, they will be there through the hard times ahead. Hang on to those good memories - they’ll help you smile through the tears. - Posted by: Anna Maes-Sarrasin (Aunt through marriage ) on: Mar 31, 2021
