CORA (CODY) HARVEY
(nee KLINCK)
1921 - 2021

Our mother passed away on Friday, March 26, 2021 at the Algoma Residential
Community Hospice (ARCH), with her
daughters by her side.
Beloved wife of the late Lloyd Harvey. Much loved mother of Jill Barich (Rudi) of Sault Ste. Marie, ON and Jan Harvey Micay of Kamloops, BC. Cherished grandmother of Christopher Barich, Mikki Barich (Tim
Barthelmes), Jayme Harvey Micay (Mark Martin), Kristie McDonell (Mark), Morgan VanDam (Nick), and Kelsey Schellenberg (Nick). Great-Grandmother of Greyson,
Wilder, Jaxon, Lincoln, Lucky, Levi and Landon.
Predeceased by her seven brothers and
sisters: Med, John, George, Bill, Middy, Vi and Florence Klinck.
Our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend has lived a full life. She showed us all how to celebrate life each day with joy and grace. She started her day with a smile, her earrings, necklace, outfit, hair in place, and lipstick on . . . this was our mom still at 100 years of age. We grew up in Regina and summered at B-Say-Tah Beach, SK. She was the instigator of many
adventures. She would make suggestions and away we would go with her help - parades, musical plays, forts, and on and on. She loved poetry and had many favourite quotes and an incredible memory. She loved all sports, was an avid curler, and played tennis and golf in her early years. Then, in Regina and
Winnipeg, she enjoyed competing in lawn bowling until she was in her 90's. Throughout her life she played bridge and all card games. Mom and Dad enjoyed their winters in
Scottsdale, Arizona. When Dad died in 1988, Mom moved to Winnipeg to be near her daughters. We are so grateful to have had her as our mother.
We would like to thank Dr. Parsons, Dr. Buehner and the SAH staff for the wonderful care our mother received. We also have a very special place in our hearts for the
exceptional care by staff and volunteers at ARCH, thank you.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My condolences to the family, your mother was always a bright spot in my day, except when tournament of hearts curling was on and then she would forget she had a appointment, apologize and then tell me what was going on with the tournament lol. - Posted by: Debbie (Her hairstylist in Winnipeg ) on: Apr 19, 2021

  • Cody started 2 person Stick Curling at the age of 92 at the Wildewood Club. I was impressed not only with her age but her skill. She was so full of life. I smiled when I read this in the obituary "She started her day with a smile, her earrings, necklace, outfit, hair in place, and lipstick on". She stopped stick curling when the Wildewood shut down and our league moved to the Thistle. I still had the pleasure of lawn bowling with her at the Tuxedo Club. - Posted by: Bill Reid (Curling and lawn bowling friend) on: Apr 01, 2021
