WILLIAM HARRY KOZYRA

Born December 17, 1929 on the family farm in Brokenhead. He leaves to mourn his wife Barbara (Baker) and children, Brad, Bridget (Dwight); grandchildren, Briette (Tyler), Latrissa (Zak), and sister-in-law Edna Kozyra. He was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Katherine Kozyra (nee Kryschuk) and his brother Peter.
His first career was a public school teacher at Lebau, White Poplar and St. Ouens schools before joining Reimer Agencies in 1952 and purchasing the agency in 1967. In 1985 he sold the agency and dedicated his time to serving on a number of boards and organizations: Reeve of the R.M. of Brokenhead, Lions Club, Trustee at Sunrise School Division and many others.
Cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date.
We are grateful for the wonderful care he received at East-Gate Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to be made to the Brokenhead River Community Foundation or East-Gate Lodge.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • It was always a pleasure running into Bill whether it be on the office, the street, at a meeting and later years at Eastgate. A kind, friend, pleasant one of a kind man. We will miss him so much. - Posted by: David Fiebelkorn (Friend) on: Apr 06, 2021

  • My deepest sympathy to the family on their loss. Although I hadn't been in touch with anyone from Brokenhead for many years, I often thought of my old friends & playmates from years gone by. As we age we remember many things from our past. Good bye old friend. Hazel (Kolton) Hoplock - Posted by: Hazel Hoplock (nee Kolton) (a long time ago playmate, friend, neighbor) on: Apr 03, 2021
