Condolences & Memories (9 entries)

  • I was very surprised and saddened to hear of Debbie’s passing. I worked in HR with Debbie. She was always so good natured and her laugh was unmistakable. I have a daughter named Stephanie who was the same age as her daughter. So often we would have conversations about all the similar interests both our daughters enjoyed. It was so evident how much she loved and valued her family. My condolences to her family. May you remember all the good memories you made with her. She was a very special person. • I was heart broken and shocked to hear about Debbie's sudden passing today. My deepest sympathies go out to Wally, Stephanie and Stephen. I worked with Debbie for many, many years in Human Resources with the Government of Manitoba. Debbie's personality was like sunshine, she always showed me so much love and compassion, she definitely was my office mom. Debbie always worked so hard at everything she did and never gave up, she adored her family and often shared beautiful stories. Her kindness was contagious and her memory will live on forever. Heaven has definitely got another angel, I will miss her XOXO. - Posted by: Maria Fontaine (Co-worker and Friend) on: Apr 09, 2021

  • I was so shocked to hear of Debbie's passing today. Debbie and I got to know each other when we worked in Government Services together with Melanie Brownscombe, Cam Page, and Walter Bryk. After that I loved bumping into her walking to and from work where she'd give me that cute little laugh and keep me up-to-date with the latest goings on. She was a hoot! She always talked about Wally and her precious kids. What a great wife and Mom you had. She will be missed by so many. - Posted by: Laura Lane ((coworker)) on: Apr 07, 2021

  • I am so saddened to hear of Debbie's passing. She was my work mom during our training at CRA in 2018. She took care of me and ensured I was getting enough to eat (I was pregnant at the time). She was so sweet and funny and kind. She even checked in on me when we were no longer on the same team. So caring. My condolences to her family. She talked about you a lot and how great you all were.
