Jerry and I went to many meetings together 32 plus years ago. Some groups had dances and Jerry loved to dance. He was a great example to me. We went our separate ways many years ago...Jerry in education and working remote locations. My job took me away as well. A great person to hang out with. Love you buddy - Posted by: Randy W (Friend) on: Jun 11, 2021

My deepest condolences, Naomi. Jerry was such a huge part of my recovery journey, and always looked forward to his stories, advice, and quiet sense of humour. Although we lost touch over the years, I still thought of him often. - Posted by: Dean (Friend) on: May 01, 2021

Naomi, We are so sorry to hear of Jerry's passing. He was a favourite at our group and everyone has a special "Jerry story" to share. Favourite is "I have friends in this group and if I want to keep them I better stop talking now." Funny man. He shall be missed. Rae from the Welcome Group - Posted by: Rae (friend) on: Apr 08, 2021

So very sorry to discover both you and Jerry had been dealing with changes to your lives brought on by Jerry's dementia and now his passing from a terminal illness. I read of your sadness and what you've been dealing with in a condolence message you posted to a friend. Sadness takes the time it needs to honour the life and love you shared with Jerry and to heal your heart. I hope the very strong faith you both lived by is a comfort to you especially at this time. I also hope you feel the presence of God's love and protection surrounding you like a blanket of warmth and care as you go through this time of ongoing adjustment and change. It's hard to believe so many years have passed since we all stood in your favourite park where you and Jerry first exchanged vows. I hope in time, the million little things you shared in daily life leave you with more happy memories than perhaps any from the challenging times of the past few years. We've lost touch with life's changes and circumstances. But your old friend is still here in the same place if you need a virtual hug or a visit by phone and to pick up like no time has passed as is always possible with the friendship we've shared. Take ❤ care dear friend. - Posted by: Claudette Cote (Friend & maid of honour at their marriage ceremony in King's Park.) on: Apr 05, 2021
