JULIE MARIE ANGE EMOND
September 15, 1937 March 27, 2021
Mom leaves behind to mourn her memory, her children, Michael Desautels (Victoria), Kenneth Guiboche (Sherryl), Maurice Emond (Gertrude) and Tracy Allard (Jean), her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Mom's great passions were cooking, music and church. She loved listening to the gospel hour and you could often hear her singing along. She would call in and request songs, then call you to make sure you heard them. Mom loved to cook and having people over so she could feed them. She took great care in her cooking, even going to Ontario to cook at a resort. She loved travelling and at times enjoyed bus trips all over the province. Mom also loved to play cards and it was many a time family would surround the kitchen table to play, laugh and enjoy themselves. Bingo was also a hobby of Mom's. She had a huge heart and would give you everything she had if she felt you needed it. Mom enjoyed spending time with her kids in Winnipeg and enjoyed shopping while she was there. One of Mom's signature phrases was, "oh for Pete's sake".
Nothing pleased Mom more than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Due to the current restrictions, a private funeral service will be held on April 3, 2021 at the St. Laurent Roman Catholic Parish with Father Paul Tinguely officiating. Cremation has taken place and Mom will be laid to rest at a later date. The honorary pallbearers will be: Michael Desautels, Ken Guiboche, Maurice Emond, Jean Allard, Donovan Boudreau, Tyler Guiboche, Matthew Guiboche and Noah Emond.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at Third Crossing Manor in Gladstone, Manitoba.
In lieu of donations, the family asks that you please consider the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
