At the Pinawa Hospital on March 31, 2021, at the age of 73, Allan James Cassidy passed peacefully into the hands of our Lord.
He was predeceased by his father, mother and two sisters. Left to cherish memories of him are his wife Cheryl, of 39 years and soulmate of 46 years, his two sons, Shannon (Christina) and Trevor (Nadia) and three grandchildren whom he lovingly adored, Eli, Alex and Gabby, and the many hearts that he touched through his lifetime.
He was born and raised in Timmins, Ontario. His adventures in life took him through many career choices as an accountant, a realtor, insurance agent and owning his own businesses. He loved to play "monopoly" in real life...the buying and selling of properties.
Al had a love for life. His true passion was FISHING and the great outdoors! He was very involved with his church family. Being a very generous man Al contributed towards many charities.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bruneau and the staff at the Pinawa Hospital for their care and support. A special thanks also goes out to all of the people who have reached out to the family during this trying time.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 7 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church in Beausejour. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family welcomes you to be a part of the service in the parking lot of the church by tuning your radio station to 98.1 FM. There will be an opportunity to sign the guest register and acknowledge the family from your vehicle. Interment will follow in the Pinawa Cemetery.

Remember me with smiles and laughter
As I will remember you all.
If you can only remember me with tears
Then don't remember me at all.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • Much love and sympathy from the Cassidy family on the other side of the Atlantic. Allan sounds an interesting and engaging man who would have been fun to be around. I always dreamed that one day I would see Allan and my father (also Allan) meet up in this life but when my Dad passed a few years ago I knew it was not to be. Now perhaps finally they can. May God bless you, Cheryl, and the rest of the family. - Posted by: Derek Cassidy (Cousin) on: Oct 08, 2021

  • Sue and I extend our deepest sympathy to Cheryl and family. I met Allan a number of times through staff functions and remember him as a friendly, easy going person who was sincerely interested in the well being of others. - Posted by: Craig and Sue Mackenzie (Cheryl was a colleague at Whitemouth School) on: Apr 12, 2021
