  • Very sad news indeed. 'Uncle Danny' was a remarkable part of my life while I was growing up. Seeing him play football for Thistle, watching Hockey Night in Canada games on Saturday nights with Danny and my dad, wrestling with the giant dog Sultan he and Margaret had back then, and many other occasions are all wonderful memories. Glad you he got to meet our children on a trip to Australia a few years ago. Our thoughts are with Margaret. - Posted by: Ross MacKenzie (Family friend) on: Apr 19, 2021

  • Dear Margaret, Bruce and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of your husband. Bruce and I have very fond memories of Danny. It was a joy to have you and Danny join us on our hosted group cruises. Danny was always so cheerful and had a great wit about him. Our condolences go out to you and your family. Take care. - Posted by: Astrid and Bruce Murphy (Friend) on: Apr 17, 2021

  • We had the pleasure to get to know Daniel through his frequent (but not frequent enough) visits to our restaurant for lunch with his long time assistant Cathy. His incredible kindness and generosity was immediately apparent and never waivered in the 15+ years we knew him. Daniel always had a story to share and a pearl of wisdom to impart. He and Cathy quickly turned from customers into friends. Our condolences to his family, he will be missed. - Posted by: Mary and Kosta Vartsakis (Friends) on: Apr 12, 2021

  • Dear Mrs. Milne, please accept our condolences at this difficult time. We just want to let you know that we are forever grateful for the best opportunity that he gave to us. Without Mr. Milne & Rosemarie, we will not be here where we are now. We feel so blessed to have known him. Such kindness and warmth is rare. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. - Posted by: Alice & Gil Salunga (Former Boss) on: Apr 10, 2021

  • I am sorry for your loss Mrs. Milne. Your husband was a great employer and also a good friend. He was quite the character and made my day usually with a joke that made me laugh. He will always be remembered for the business he built- Milnco Insurance many years ago. I will miss him as will many that he had relationships with over the years. Take good care. - Shannon Funk - Posted by: Shannon Funk (Friend and former employee ) on: Apr 10, 2021

  • Dan Milne was one of the few gentlemen left. I had the pleasure of working with Mr. Milne for 26 ½ years in the insurance industry. He was a very supportive and caring individual. He was well respected by his employees, clients, and colleagues and he will be missed dearly. My condolences to Margaret.
