It is with extreme sadness we announce the passing of Jason Corey Enns, at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit in Winnipeg.
Diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer in the fall of 2019, Jason battled courageously through treatment and a pandemic to maximize his time with his family. He leaves to mourn his wife Joanne (Hildebrand) and son Lucas.
Predeceased by his mother Sharon and niece Jenny Lou Hildebrand, Jason is survived by his father John (Ruth), and siblings, Justin (Vanessa), Noel and Tessa.
Jason built a beautiful life. He was a leader, a creator, a listener, and a steadfast friend. He will be deeply missed by his family, many friends, neighbours and colleagues.
A private burial has taken place.

  • Jason was my supervisor with the student water meter reading program for five summers with the City of Winnipeg. I can recall his professionalism and quiet, calm and collected demeanour and always being available to answer questions or provide advice. His knowledge and experience with the department helped me become a better team leader and assist other student meter readers learn the role and meet their goals. May he Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Orest Suchy (Past employee ) on: Apr 12, 2021

  • Our sincere condolences to the whole Enns family on the loss of Jason. Growing up on Ash St. my siblings and I have extremely fond memories of great families like the Hollands, McFees, Muirs, Penners and Enns. Jason was an integral part of that time in our lives as free range kids. - Posted by: Cory & Paul Krestanowich (Friends) on: Apr 12, 2021

  • Dear Joanne and family, our thoughts have been with you since we heard of Jason’s illness and are so sorry to hear of his passing...and a memory I have of Jason....Few years back I bumped into Jason and Joanne at Lee Valley. I was in a deep meditative mood, as only a late sixty year old man can be, mostly confused, I was there thoroughly checking out multitude of cabinet door hinge displays, needing hinges for newly built cabinet doors at our country escape. He came over and we chatted a bit, then enquired and then immediately offered me 22 hinges they no longer needed, offering them freely, it was a warm friendly gesture to be sure. Next day I found a full bag on our city porch, he had taken the time to drop them off....they were exactly the number we needed (22) to finish the country kitchen and now, every time we open a cabinet door out there I think of his generously and kindness... - Posted by: John and Judy Bodi (Friends) on: Apr 10, 2021
