It is with sorrow, that we announce the peaceful passing on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 of Marie-Paule Delannoy at the age of 74 years.
Marie-Paule will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lise (Brad Magnusson) Cook, Marc (Monique), and Brigitte; grandsons,
Patrick, Jeremie and Jonah Cook, Luc,
Gabriel, Clément, and Julien Delannoy;
sisters and brother, Lucille, Gisèle (Robert) Perron, Gérald (Kathleen Keenan) Pelletier; in-laws, nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her loving husband,
Gilbert, and her parents, Léon and Lucie, her brothers-in-law, Denis and Benoit as well as her sons-in-law, Clifford Mertick and the
father of the Cook grandsons, Norris.
Marie-Paule was born on November 13, 1946 in Richer, Manitoba. Her family moved to St. Boniface in 1952. She attended St.
Joseph Academy then St. Boniface School of Nursing. Marie-Paule started a long career in nursing, briefly at St. Boniface Hospital and then at Foyer Valade where she was known for her kindness, her optimism, and her
attention to residents. Inspired by her own mother, she learned how to sew, took up crafts and was known as an enthusiastic
baker. All of Marie-Paule's close family
members both in Winnipeg and in Ottawa
received her cross-stitched Christmas
stockings made with skill and love. We will cherish memories of her generosity and her love for her children, her grandsons, her
sisters and her brother, her friends and
The family wishes to thank Dr. Marie Loewen of Centre de Santé de St. Boniface, Sophie Ramer, Home Care Coordinator and Dr. Ted St. Godard, as well as the Home Care and Palliative Care staff at St. Boniface
A private funeral mass will be celebrated by Father Armand Le Gal on Thursday, April 15, at 1:00 p.m. at Holy Family Parish 778

  • J'ai rencontre Marie-Paule a l'Academie St Joseph lorsqu'on prenait notre grade 12. Ensuite nous sommes toutes deux allees prendre notre cour de garde-malade a l'Hopital St Boniface. On partageait une chambre durant notre premiere annee, On a gradue ensemble en 1967, puis sommes allees a l'Expo a Montreal pour celebrer! (on etait la premiere classe a recevoir un salaire pour les deux mois de travail a l'hopital apres notre graduation!) Nous nous sommes bien amusees! Nous avions beaucoup de bons souvenirs de notre voyage et de l'Expo!
