PATRICIA LYNNE SMITH

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, Patricia Lynne Smith (Pat) (nee Townsend) on April 12, 2021.
She was predeceased by her husband Bob, her parents, Emerson and Jean Townsend, son-in-law Trevor Neumann, and her sister Lois Doerksen.
Pat loved going on our family trips when we were little. Her planning is what kept the train on the tracks. Once her children started school Pat worked at a couple of different jobs (MTS Operator, Dental Assistant, and Bank Teller). She got great joy out of being involved in our lives, and loved having the neighbourhood kids around the yard or at the lunch table. She was always up for a laugh and loved going out socially. She was always talking to people when we were younger and would tell us "he/she was a customer"....this contributed to her kids' dislike of shopping because it was like a receiving line when all we needed were new shoes....
Mom will be deeply missed by her children, Lynn Bailey (Ross), Laurie Smith (Alana) and Jackie Neumann; her brother Don (Mona), sisters, Diane (Fred) and Brenda (Bert); and her grandchildren, Erin, Katie, Jamie, Declan and Calli. Pat was particularly close with her granddaughter Calli, who called her "Wy-ee" and had a special place in her life with many sleepovers and lunch dates.
Due to COVID restrictions, a luncheon will be held at a later date. Interment to take place with her husband Bob at Chapel Lawn.
Thanks for raising us right Mom and you will be greatly missed.
