PATRICIA LYNNE SMITH ((TOWNSEND) (PAT)

PATRICIA LYNNE SMITH
She was predeceased by her husband Bob, her parents, Emerson and Jean Townsend, son-in-law Trevor Neumann, and her sister Lois Doerksen.
Pat loved going on our family trips when we were little. Her planning is what kept the train on the tracks. Once her children started school Pat worked at a couple of different jobs (MTS Operator, Dental Assistant, and Bank Teller). She got great joy out of being involved in our lives, and loved having the neighbourhood kids around the yard or at the lunch table. She was always up for a laugh and loved going out socially. She was always talking to people when we were younger and would tell us "he/she was a customer"....this contributed to her kids' dislike of shopping because it was like a receiving line when all we needed were new shoes....
Mom will be deeply missed by her children, Lynn Bailey (Ross), Laurie Smith (Alana) and Jackie Neumann; her brother Don (Mona), sisters, Diane (Fred) and Brenda (Bert); and her grandchildren, Erin, Katie, Jamie, Declan and Calli. Pat was particularly close with her granddaughter Calli, who called her "Wy-ee" and had a special place in her life with many sleepovers and lunch dates.
Due to COVID restrictions, a luncheon will be held at a later date. Interment to take place with her husband Bob at Chapel Lawn.
Thanks for raising us right Mom and you will be greatly missed.

So many good memories shared while working with your Mom at CIBC in Portage. She was a bright light every day at work, always adding some laughter to the day. So sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Harveyln Mattice (Friend and previous co-worker at CIBC) on: Apr 23, 2021
Our deepest condolences to Laurie, Jackie and their extended families. We have over 20 years of good times and wonderful memories on Normandy Drive. We are sure that Jean, Lois and Pat are sharing a laugh and maybe a drink right now. RIP Trish! - Posted by: Cam & Cathy Smith (Friends all originally from Neepawa) on: Apr 20, 2021
My thoughts are with the family. Got to meet Pat thru husband Bob at MTS. Always enjoyed talking with your mom. She travelled out to Red Deere with my husband and I one fall and met up with her relative to go on from there. Really enjoyed spending time with her. - Posted by: Judy Greenslade (Acquantance) on: Apr 17, 2021
Our condolences to Pat's family. We are very sorry to hear the sad news.. There are some we meet in passing and forget as soon as they go. There are some we remember with pleasure and feel honored and privileged to have known. Pat was one of those people. - Posted by: Kathy and Vince Schentag (Friend) on: Apr 17, 2021

Our sincere sympathy to you and your family on Pat's passing. We remember her and Bob very well, being neighbors here in Rotary Towers. We used to have happy hours with George And Bernice Anderson and your Mom and Dad. We are still living here in Rotary Towers, and have seen many changes since Pat moved to Winnipeg.
