DENNIS CHOPYK

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Dennis on April 11, 2021, at the age of 72.
He is survived by his wife Mary, of almost 50 years; sons, Ron (Pete) and Jared (Renee); and two grandchildren, Brooklyn and Braydon, as well as his two sisters, Joan Huppe and Debbie (Bryan) Bohn, and his mother-in-law Mary Zajacz.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, Pete and Annie, his brother-in-law Norman Huppe, and his father-in-law Joseph Zajacz.
He was born in Zhoda, Manitoba and after school moved to Winnipeg. In his younger years he enjoyed hunting, camping, and playing baseball.
Later on Dennis spent many hours working on his hobby farm in Vita. He spent holiday time travelling across Canada and the United States in the family camper.
As time went on, holidays changed to the Caribbean and Mexico where he loved sitting on a lounge chair soaking up the warm sun. The hobby farm was sold and Dennis enjoyed poker at the casino and growing his vegetable garden and prized roses.
The last few years he was riddled with severe illnesses which made life increasingly challenging for him. Dennis kept a positive attitude through the face of adversity.

Rest in peace Dennis!

Because of Covid restrictions, a private funeral will be held.
