LEANNE PEEL
July 31, 1961 – April 9, 2021

It is with deepest sadness we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of Leanne Peel on Friday, April 9, 2021, at her home in Winnipeg.
Leanne grew up in Birtle, Manitoba, where during her high school years she met Craig. The very special connection they seemed to have right from the start eventually turned into 36 years of marriage with two beautiful children and two beautiful grandchildren. She was the most wonderful wife, amazing mother and grandmother, loving daughter and best sister and friend anyone could ever have hoped to have.
Leanne was predeceased by her father George Brown. Left to cherish her memory are her family: husband Craig; daughter Lyndsi and granddaughter Ivy; son Colin, daughter-in-law Thoa and grandson Lucian; mother Faye Brown; sisters, Jana Joseph (and family), Helen Tack (and family), and Debby Tack; mother and father-in-law Bob and Catherine Peel, along with their extended family; and her closest friends of many years Maleon Kostick and Sandy Wray. She will also be missed by many others whose lives she touched with her loving and caring ways.
Because of the great homemaker that she was, she will be lovingly remembered by all that knew her as the "hostess extraordinaire". The one thing that Leanne was most proud of was her family, but she also touched so many other lives and left beautiful memories for all of us that will be cherished for years to come. Leanne will never truly be gone as her loving nature, caring ways and abundance of love will be with us always.
Here is a very special prayer that Leanne shared with her children every night before bed:

"God bless us and everyone around us.
Thank you for our many blessings
and forgive us our sins.
Please help us to have good, kind hearts
and do what we know is right
even if we don't want to.
Amen"

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Diabetes Canada, 401 – 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.
As per Leanne's wishes there will be no formal service. A private family Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
