GRAHAM EDWARD ROBSON
1964 - 2021

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Graham, with his family by his side, at home on April 12, 2021.
Graham will be missed by his wife Susan and daughters, Hilary and Paige. Also mourning his loss are his mom Elsie, sister Janice, brothers, Grant (Joyce) and Paul (Tina), in-laws, Janie and Bill Badger, Jim Badger (Leslie), Marcy Sloan (Charlie), his nieces, Shannon (Justin), Devyn, Kelsie and Morgan, and nephew Liam. Graham had a close set of friendships since elementary school and made many friends over the years including many through work. He cherished them all and they will miss Graham very much. Graham was predeceased by his dad Robert (Bob) Robson.
Graham grew up in Windsor Park and graduated high school there. He received his Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Business Administration from the University of Manitoba, law degrees in Canada and the USA and also spent a term studying International Law in London, England.
Graham was the Executive Vice-President, Chief Compliance Officer and General Counsel of Wellington-Altus Private Wealth. Graham was very proud of Wellington and it was never work to him, it was a place of happiness.
Graham grew up going to Nutimik Lake and in recent years went to Victoria Beach. He loved to swim, canoe and sit on the deck with a beer. He was truly a lake person.
Graham loved to travel and, among other amazing trips, took his family on a Mediterranean cruise in 2019 to celebrate his 25th wedding anniversary.
He loved to keep active by playing hockey, biking and exercising. He was a member at the Winnipeg Squash and Racquet Club and was president in 2013.
Graham absolutely loved golf and everything with it. He was a member of Southwood Golf & Country Club and was president in 2015 and 2016.
A private service will take place on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. A link to the live streaming is https://youtu.be/-aPqpMOKZIY
Rare cancers don't receive much funding and support. Please consider donating a tribute gift to the Terry Fox Foundation in honour of Graham.
Graham was a great man, a real gentleman. He loved life. He was too young to leave us and will be missed tremendously. "Smile. Love. Be happy. Be good to others." - Graham's life advice.

  • Susan and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. There are no words that I can say that can take away your sorrow. I’m sure that the memories you have will bring you peace one day. I know how painful it is to lose someone we love. May you and the girls find strength to carry on and know that you will always be surrounded by Graham’s love. My deepest sympathy - sending you a virtual hug . - Posted by: Eileen Oleski (Co worker of Susan) on: Apr 21, 2021

  • We are all so shocked and sorry to hear of Graham's passing. We know that he was a great dad, a loving husband and a true friend to so many. He will be missed terribly by those closest but he will always be in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. Uncle Barry, Auntie Judy, Glenn and Mary - Posted by: Barry Smith (Family ) on: Apr 21, 2021

  • I was a teammate of Graham’s on the Rusty Nuts. Although Graham was one of our better players, the truth is, we were not very good at hockey. At life, friendship, and comradery we are a symphony. It is on these counts that Graham excelled. He was kind, thoughtful, and charitable with his knowledge and advice. A dressing room conversation was always better for Graham’s gentle wit. Although the symphony will play on, the trained ear will know that we will never sound the same – a little slower, a lot sadder. - Posted by: Matthew Majkut (Friend) on: Apr 21, 2021

  • Very sorry to hear of Graham's passing. We all had a lot of fun working with him when he was at Great-West Life. - Posted by: Dallas Ewen (Work colleague) on: Apr 20, 2021

  • So sorry for your loss Susan. My prayers and thoughts are with you, Hilary and Paige and also Graham's family. Take care. Cathy Wiwchar - Posted by: Cathy Wiwchar (Friend) on: Apr 19, 2021

  • I met Graham at the University of Manitoba when we were in the MBA program. He was in second year and I was in first year. He was always friendly, supportive, and helpful. There was quite a comradery amongst all students. Met up with him again years later when he was a specialist in Intellectual Property. Lovely to see he was still the same kind person I knew from school. - Posted by: Maria Vincenten (Classmate) on: Apr 19, 2021

  • Our heartfelt and deepest condolences on the loss of Graham. We will miss his presence. It was always a pleasure to have a chat with him about biking or golf, or anything else for that matter. He was so easy to talk to. A true gentleman. Susan, Paige, and Hilary, we are keeping you lovingly in our prayers. Rest In Peace, Graham. - Posted by: Mike and Saniya Pokhoy (Neighbors) on: Apr 18, 2021

  • We are truly sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Larry and Tracy Monney (Friend ) on: Apr 17, 2021

  • So sad to hear of your loss. Graham was always so nice to everyone, way back in high school. It was a long time ago that I last saw him at St B hospital, which was probably the beginning of his cancer journey. It sounds like his achievements were great, including work and family. Rest in piece Graham. - Posted by: Lisa Chale Larocque (High school friend) on: Apr 17, 2021
