My dearest and most precious Bettie
It broke my heart to lose you
But you did not go alone
For part of me went with you
The day God called you home.
Every day is filled with memories
And loving thoughts of you
For all your caring words
and thoughtful deeds
That you always would say and do.
Remembering you is easy
I do it every single day
But missing you is such painful heartache
That never goes away!
I hold you close, within my heart
And there you will always remain
Until that glorious day God beckons me
When we are reunited forever
in eternal life in Heaven again.
