• Truly shocked and saddened to be reading this today. Ashley and I weren’t particularly close during our elementary school years, but she was present for my 7th birthday party where we had a mad scientist. This is one of my fondest childhood memories. It was amazing and I’m sure some of you readers will remember how much fun we all had! I still have the photos and I’m going to cherish them all the more. Ashley had a zest for life; always charismatic, outgoing, personable. Her passing is felt across Canada. • This is incredibly sad news! My heart breaks for Ashley's Mom, her Dad and Mathew! I can't even begin to imagine what you are feeling. This is such an incredible loss! Ashley was one of the sweetest caring, kind students in my Kindergarten class. She served me many times at Mountain Bean where she was always happy, very respectful and had a kind word. She seemed so excited about her future! May the wonderful memories you have of your dear Ashley help you get through this sorrowful time.
