It is with deepest sadness that our family announces the passing of Susan Drysdale, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother and friend, on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Meadowood Manor in Winnipeg at age 86. She left us peacefully to be with the Lord and for that, we are grateful.
Susan will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 52 years, James (Jim) Drysdale; their two children, Robin (Roger) Chammartin, and Rod (Susanne) Drysdale; two stepchildren, Cheryl (Pat) Pearce, and Hannah Havelka; three grandchildren, Shannon Giesbrecht, Matthew (Karla) Havelka, and Maria Havelka; three great- grandchildren, Javon, Malaya, and Beckett; two sisters, Martha (Harry) Pye, and Tina Reimer; and one brother John (Ruth) Froese. She will also be missed by extended family and friends whose lives she touched with her loving and caring ways.
Susan was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Maria Froese; three brothers, Dick Froese, Cornie Froese, Peter Froese; and a sibling at birth, Abe.
Mom touched so many of our lives and leaves beautiful memories that will be cherished for all who knew her for years to come. Mom will never truly be gone as her loving nature, caring ways and abundance for love will be with us always.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Canadian Diabetic Association, 401-1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6.
Due to the current circumstances of Covid-19, a private interment will take place at the family plot at St. Vital Cemetery and a celebration of Susan's life will be held at a later date.
