LUCILLE MARIE GUAY
Lucille has now joyfully joined her dear husband Alderic; her parents, Alphonse and Marie (Proulx); and her brothers, Charles-Emile, Gerard, Jean, Remi, Paul; and sister Madeleine. Loving mother of Pierre (Sandy) Guay. Dear sister of Sister Helen Roy. Much loved grandmother of Bob (Robin) Guay and Monique Quagliotto; and great-grandmother of Chantal, Austin, Dante, Emmett and Preston, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Lucille was born in Quebec but was raised on the family farm outside of Otterburne, Manitoba. She later lived at various places in Manitoba and Saskatchewan following her husband who worked as an Ironworker on various construction projects. They finally resided in Southampton Ontario. She loved to be surrounded by family, she had a passion for her flowers, was an avid seamstress and had crocheted numerous items, needlepoint and knitting items for family and friends.
The family would like to thank the staff on Pine Trail at St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre for their care and compassion during Lucille's stay with them.
Due to the Covid 19 lockdown restrictions a private visitation and funeral service was held at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Cremation to follow.
If wished, memorial donations to Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre gratefully appreciated.
