MICHAEL (MIKE) JAMES WILSON

Peacefully, with his girls by his side, on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at the Health Sciences Centre, Mike Wilson, aged 73 years of Winnipeg, MB, passed away.
He was predeceased by his wife of 47 years, Trish and his parents, John and Elsie Wilson. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughters, Meighan (Darrow) and Erin (Greg); grandchildren, Emma, Jesse, Jett, Logan, Chanelle, Tonya and Donavon; brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and many friends.
Mike started working at Chrysler Canada when he was 19 years old. He loved all the people he worked with and he took great pride in his job, retiring after 40 years of service as warehouse manager. He enjoyed golfing with friends at Kingswood Golf Course, but most of all Mike loved spending time with his family, always cooking and hosting family gatherings, especially in the summer by the pool.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and when health conditions allow, a celebration of his life will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Make a Wish Foundation.

In true Mikey fashion, "We are here for a good time not a long time!"

Condolences may be left on his tribute wall at www.gilbartfuneralhome.com

Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk
in care of arrangements.

  • I worked with Mike for 26 years. We had such great times. He did our annual BBQs and he was the best weather it was hamburgers and hotdogs or steak. He loved organizing and hosting the company functions. I have so many happy memories from those 26 years.
