GWENDOLYN ELIZABETH MOSHENKO
April 5, 1932- April 24, 2021
Gwen was predeceased by her parents, Katherine (Zachidniak) and Walter (Lorette); her infant brother Anthony; as well as her husband Steven.
Gwen will be deeply missed by her daughter Susan; Baba's grandsons, James and Greg (Katy); Baba Baba's two beautiful great-grandchildren, Kadyn and Emmie. Gwen is also survived by her brother Bert Lorette; sisters: Dianne Kress, Jean Holden, Sharon (Don) Wiebe, sister-in-law Bessie Rak, and several other family members.
Gwen was born April 5, 1932 in Gainsborough, Saskatchewan. Gwen attended Fertile school; Brandon College and then moved to Winnipeg working at Gore Mutual Insurance; Winnipeg Laundry; JJ Swanson; and U-Haul until retiring in 1993.
In her spare time, Gwen loved cheering on her favourite sports teams from home, such as the Winnipeg Jets, the Blue Bombers, and especially the Toronto Blue Jays. She also enjoyed watching any sort of professional curling whenever it came on T.V., as she played the sport a great deal in her youth. It would be an understatement to say that she enjoyed most of all playing Kinsmen Bingo.
Gwen was known by all of her family, friends and acquaintances as a soft spoken but strong woman, who valued every relationship she had wholeheartedly.
Many thanks to River East Home Care; Dr. Barry McMillan and Rhonda; and our apartment caretaker Eileen.
Due to Covid restrictions, Gwen has been cremated with a memorial service to take place at a later date.
