PAULA MARY MONCRIEFF
She is survived by her children, Carla Marlyn of Calgary and son Hugh (Jennifer) Moncrieff of Winnipeg. Mom adored her grandchildren, Melissa and Michael Marlyn and William and John Moncrieff She also leaves behind her brother, John Bridgman, and her loving Bridgman / Butorac nieces and nephews.
Trained as a nurse in Ottawa, this began a long career in healthcare, from working in emergency rooms to overseeing the development and management of hospitals across Alberta. She was immensely proud of her career and built long-lasting relationships with her many long-time colleagues. In retirement, she was a strong supporter of the United Way through an active role in the workplace campaign programs. She was happiest when surrounded by family and friends in Edmonton, Calgary, Winnipeg, and Lake of the Woods, where she enjoyed her summers. Paula was a tiny person with a large personality who loved to host events large and small and she always did so in a stylish and grand way.
The family is forever grateful to her many friends, especially Chris Macklon, who allowed Mom to enjoy life with joy, grace and independence.
Should friends desire, a donation in Paula's name may be made to a charity of your choice, or the St. Paul's High School - Bursary Fund (Winnipeg). Floral tributes gratefully declined.
