Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • Shocked and saddened to hear of Gerry's sudden passing. Our hearts go out to Marilyn, Lauren, and Brett. Our son went to nursery school through to high school with Brett as well as playing hockey and other sports with him. We shared the social side of parenting with Gerry and Marilyn and they were incredible parents and friends. Gerry was great with all the kids and supported every child like they were his own. He will be very sadly missed by those whose lives he touched. - Posted by: Don & Barb Bailey (Friends) on: May 10, 2021

  • To Marilyn and family - Donna and I send our condolences on your loss. Gerry and I started as co-workers and developed in friends. Working together at WPS and on to the MGCC. But I remember the friendship trips and vacation in Hawaii as special. You are in our thoughts and prayers. - Posted by: Brent Lusty (friend) on: May 05, 2021

  • I was shocked like everyone when I heard of Gerry's passing. I first knew him as a co-worker but soon this changed to a friend. I was fortunate to share time with him on some work road trips and a few adventures that came with it. And of course as part of our foursome at the Sun Stroke. More recently a member of our breakfast club which was put on hold due to this pandemic. I think of Gerry and my memories are lots of laughs and good times. He was one of those people I enjoyed being around and will miss him. I know how much his family meant to him and his excitement about being a grandfather. I would like to my offer my heartfelt condolences to his family. - Posted by: Paul JOHNSON (friend -co worker) on: May 02, 2021

  • Good man and workmate. Work with someone and then lose contact. Worked many times with Gerry back in the 70's. Then with transfers never see them again till this. Good man gone too soon. - Posted by: Blake Dunn (Work mate) on: May 02, 2021
