Though are hearts are heavy, we can rejoice that Our Lord has taken her to rejoin her beloved Frank, whom she missed dearly all these years. We are blessed for the precious years we had in Olga's company; her care for others, her laughter, her stories, her patience and her infinite devotion. Olga leaves us to return to her husband Frank, with whom she walked hand in hand for 60 years.
While she was left to carry on by herself for just shy of 17 years, Olga maintained a deep sense of gratitude and continued to live a very full life with what was always most important to her: her family, her Church (Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church), her friends, the Garson Community Club and working in her yard with her flowers. When it was time to move on to Stony Plains and then East Gate, Olga brought her larger than life personality and gregarious nature to help blaze a trail for her next stage in life. Always quick to make new friends, Olga touched many lives, and we are the better for having known her. Olga's greatest pride was her family and she took tremendous joy in the accomplishments of her children, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren. Olga cherished her many outings with her goddaughter and niece, Linda and looked forward to their time together. When we see flowers, we will see her smile. When we eat perogies, we will remember her delicate but strong hands always working to ensure we were full. When we admire her needlework, we will remember the infinite love, dedication and time she gave to us.
Olga leaves behind her four children, Ron (Linda), Patricia (Robert), Rick (Doreen) and Wayne (Angel); as well as her grandchildren, Daryl (Caroline), Colleen (A.J.), Shaena (Jayson), Chantel (Ryan), Shawn, Cory (Karleigh), Kyle, Matthew (Cassandra) and Sarah (Thomas); and great-grandchildren, Trent, Brennan, Michayla, Cameron, Avery, Ava and Madyx; as well as sisters-in-law, Bette, Sally and Eleanor; and numerous nieces and nephews. Olga was predeceased by her husband Frank; her mother Frances; her father Michael; her brothers, William and Michael; and great-grandson Dylan.
"Sometimes people come into your life for a
moment, a day, or a lifetime. It matters not
the time they spent with you, but how they
impacted your life in that time." - Unknown.
Olga was someone who made an impact.
The family would like to thank Dr. Partyka and the staff at Beausejour Hospital, Stony Plains and East Gate Lodge for their loving care of Olga.

To the Oberick family, Our condolences to you all. Your mother was a lovely lady, such a kind and pleasant person to everyone. Her flowers and gardens were always perfect. She was blessed with a beautiful family and I know you will always have her in your heart. I hope it comforts you to know that so many people from Garson are thinking of you and sending our love. - Posted by: Judy Sobovitch, Harold and Lois Hnatiuk (Friends and neighbours) on: May 08, 2021
Heartfelt condolences to the family. Olga was a cheerful force to be reckoned with, very well respected, and loved by so many within the Garson community that was active in previous years. Olga was also a teacher in her own way, and for that those of us from the area are thankful. May all hearts heal with time and good memories. - Posted by: Jane Seniw (community friend) on: May 07, 2021

To Olga Oberick’s family, We are sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. We have many wonderful memories of your mom and dad when we were growing up in Garson. They always welcomed us into their home especially for the fun times that we teenagers had in their basement. Dorothy remembers decorating the church with flowers from her garden. She had a green thumb and always grew beautiful flowers. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family during this difficult time. Peace and God bless.
