ABELARDO (BILLY) TAMONDONG

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, husband and Lolo, Abelardo "Billy" Tamondong. Billy passed away peacefully in his home, surrounded by family, on May 3, 2021, at the age of 86.
Billy was predeceased by his parents, Eliodoro and Maria, his siblings, Remedios, Fred, Emilia, Felix, Eufronia, Amparo, Alfredo, and his first wife Marcela "Lee" Tamondong whom he had 11 children with.
Billy will be deeply missed by his loving and supportive wife of 30 years, Prisca. Through sponsorship by his wife, Billy and his 11 children immigrated to Canada in June 1994. Together they built a better life for their children and grandchildren. He will be profoundly missed by his children, Minnie (Herbert), Richard (Rita), Minas (Mike), Mitchiko (Mario), Ricky (Joan), Melanie (Jerry), Ryan (Beverly), Richie (Roy), Marichu, Maricel (Trent), Mirasol (Vincent), stepchildren, Selda (Simon), Alper (Frida), as well as 34 grandchildren and numerous relatives in the Philippines, U.S., Canada and Europe.
Billy was born in May 2, 1935 in Bayambang, Pangasinan, Philippines. He loved gardening, travelling back home to the Philippines and most of all, he loved his family. He instilled in us the value of family, to love and care for one another. He was a man of integrity, a great provider whose main goal was to see his family live a good life and be well. Billy has touched so many hearts. He will be remembered by many for his kindness and generosity. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks and love to the wonderful home care staff for their compassionate care and dedication to our dad these past three years.
