MARIE-LOUISE ELEANOR (DODIE) STUART
(nee SKINNER)
1947 - 2021

Mom slipped away from us rather peacefully on a morning we will never forget.
She leaves behind her husband Gordon, of 49 years, her daughter Christine, son Michael (wife Nicole, and granddaughters, Faith and Myka), son David (granddaughters, Jordan and Abby) and daughter Laura. She also leaves behind her sister Barbara MacDonnell (Miles), Teresa Campbell (Dave) and Greg Skinner (Cathy) and their families.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a date and time to be determined once group gathering restrictions are more flexible.
Mom, we will all be OK, missing you terribly, but we will be OK. Until we meet again.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Kidney Foundation - 452 Dovercourt Dr., Winnipeg, MB R3Y 1G4.

  • So sorry Gord to hear of Marie's passing. I hope there is comfort in the many good memories you have. My thoughts are with you and your family. - Posted by: Bill Strong (Friend) on: May 21, 2021

  • Dodie and I were friends since elementary school. We had many, many years of memories, and laughs. I will miss our long phone calls that always had lots of laughs. Rest in peace my dear friend. Until we meet again. - Posted by: Rosemary Manning Glockner (Friend) on: May 08, 2021

  • Very sad to hear of Marie's passing... Having known Marie since grade school at St. Ignatius, I can honestly say that she was one of the nicest people I've ever met. I don't recall EVER hearing Marie say an unkind thing about anyone. Whenever we got together, she spoke always spoke with love about Gord and 'the kids'. Even though life was not always easy for Marie, no matter how rough things got, Marie never complained. Her positive outlook on life was an inspiration to me. I am going to miss her. - Posted by: Arlene Elendiuk (long time friend) on: May 08, 2021
