Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • My heartfelt condolences to Laura and family, Aunt Corrine and many cousins that Shelley was close to. Shelley and I were introduced by our fathers who were also childhood friends. We became fast friends at the age of 10. We did not go to the same school so we made the most of our summers. Spending many summers together at Lakeshore Heights (Grand beach) and Winnipeg beach. We were always laughing and singing and getting into some kind of mischief. So many stories. As we grew older we did not spend as much time together but we maintained contact, always feeling like we had just seen each other yesterday. Shelley was always so full of life and love, she had many friends that will miss her. I will miss her dearly, she will always hold a very special place in my heart. I raise my glass to you my friend, may you laugh forever. - Posted by: Maureen (Hosegood) King (Friend ) on: Jul 16, 2021

  • Shelley, on behalf of your work family at Transport Canada, we send our heartfelt condolences to your family and friends. The news of your passing was shocking and so very sad as we weren't able to stay in touch very much this past year due to COVID. You touched many lives, including mine, always bringing that huge smile and laughter to every interaction you had with others. You always asked about my family and followed my kids' adventures, caring about all those you worked with over the years. Thank you for sharing your stories from your 6 pack gang, and for lightening the mood wherever you went. You will be missed and I will cherish your memory always. Have a glass of wine for me as you smile down upon us from time to time. Laura H - Posted by: Laura Holden (Friend and Colleague) on: May 23, 2021

  • Shelley, we miss you so much. Our group, we call the 6 Pack, have been close friends for over 45 years and you will always be a part of us. Shelley, you lit up a room when you were in it, always happy and full of fun and laughter. Your infectious laugh always made everyone smile, you were a free spirit and everyone’s friend. We know you are in heaven, having a chat with Patti and your family over a glass of wine. Love you to the Moon and Back. Bebbie xoxo - Posted by: Debbie Klassen (Vertone) (Friend) on: May 08, 2021

  • Fond high school memories of cruisin' in Shelley 'Bean's' famous Beanmobile. Shared humorous experience as army buddies surviving 'survival' boot camp at Dundurn, Sask by obtaining honourable discharge after 2 of 6 week program. We touched each other's heart.
