How fortunate we all were to grow up on Edgewood Street with people like your dad as the good examples in our lives. He was smart, fun-loving and dedicated to his family. As next door neighbours, the seven Lysyks provided us with lots of laughs, baby sitting opportunities and never a dull moment. Our hearts go out to you Donald, Michelle, David and Joanne and your families as you mourn the loss of your dad. With love and sympathy, Sam and Carla (Reichert) Scaletta. - Posted by: Carla Scaletta (Neighbour) on: May 14, 2021

I was saddened to hear of the passing of Mike. I worked with Mike at the St. Boniface Hospital for several years. He was a wonderful human being and thought the world of his family. He was a very intelligent man with a great sense of humour. I know he will be missed by his family and all those who knew him. Rest in peace Mike. - Posted by: Geoffrey Moore (Worked with Mike at St Boniface Hospital) on: May 12, 2021

Probably the kindest man I'll ever have known (at least in the top 3). Knowing him made me want to be a better person. Thank you Mike for all the memories. - Posted by: Dan Thera (Friend) on: May 10, 2021

I grew up on Edgewood Street across from the Lysyk family and well remember the many weekend get-togethers that we all used to have in the city and at the lake - the parties went late into the night and we're always so much fun. Mr. Lysyk was always a kind and thoughtful individual with a fantastic sense of humour. On behalf of the Grindell family, we are so sad to hear about Mr. Lysyk's passing.
