PETER RECHIK
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son, Leonard, sister, Francis, nephew, Richard and ex-wife Julia. He was predeceased by his son, Kenneth on December 9, 2020.
Peter was born on April 13, 1929 in a small town near Arborg, Manitoba and lived there in his younger years. However, farming was not his forte, so he moved his family to Winnipeg where he established himself in the meat industry. Peter re-married later in life to Phyllis and they enjoyed travelling, going to casinos and visiting with friends. Sadly, Phyllis passed away in 2011. At the age of 65, he retired and enjoyed being in the garage, cutting the grass and tending to his prize roses. When his health declined, he resided at Maples Senior Care Home for two and a half years.
The family would like to say a big thank you to the staff at Maples Senior Care Home for all the kind support that they gave to Peter.
As per Peter's wishes, he did not want a service to be held and was cremated and interment will be in the family plot in Okno, Manitoba, near Arborg, beside his parents.
