DENNIS NEIL WINKLER
Dennis was born on November 8, 1942 in Winnipeg and spent his life in Tyndall. He was predeceased by his parents, Anton and Mayzie. He is survived by his sister Merle (Pat), niece Lana, nephews, Mark, Brent and Dean and godson Jayson.
He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Dennis was affectionately known in his youth as "Shako". He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was also a very proud member of the Shriners and Masons.
He started his working career at MTS and eventually transitioned to working his family farm full time. After selling the farm Dennis worked with crop insurance before finally retiring.
Cremation has taken place and Dennis will be laid to rest with his family at the Tyndall Cemetery.
We would like to thank the Beausejour Hospital doctors and staff for their care of Dennis during his stay.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

Condolences to Dennis' family and many friends. Dennis' honesty, integrity and adventurous spirit will be missed beyond words. From seeing what was over the next hill in his beloved Canadian Shield, to researching gold exploration, to Mcgyvering anything that needed repair in the bush. His exceptional memory in recounting past adventures, while sitting next to a warm wood stove. Words of wisdom and acts of kindness towards others were his trademark. A good person that we had the privilege of sharing a friendship. Cam and Alicia and family. - Posted by: CAMERON NEURENBERG (Friends) on: May 16, 2021
