NILES DALLAS WHITESELL
November 23, 1972 - May 7, 2021
Niles is survived by his children, Nicholas, Nicole, Daniel, and granddaughter Kalicee; his parents, Mary and Dallas Whitesell; brother Lionel (Marie Bunn), sister Julieanna (Darren Baggley), as well as his niece Chantel (Trevor Clark); and nephews, Ryan (Sydney Plaisier) and Drayden Baggley.
Niles was especially close to his cousin Scotty (Joy Whitesell) who he worked many years with. His Auntie Wanda (Joe Nadeau) and Karoline (Al Perez) who he lived with in Long Beach, California for a while. His childhood friend Derek (Candice Hart) who was like a brother to him, and his business partner and longtime friend Sam Anderson and special friend Michelle Richards.
We also would like to acknowledge the overwhelming support from all family and friends. It was heartbreaking to see how many people he touched and we will remember him in such fond ways.
Niles was a man of hard work, integrity and respect. His wit and fast-talking ways awarded him with many long lasting friendships. One of Niles most admirable traits was his unique ability to connect with anyone and everyone who was lucky enough to cross paths with him. Those who knew Niles, knew he loved to laugh and was a big dreamer. He was a teammate, best man, positive/negative influencer, a confidant and for most of his friends a Vegas buddy. He always had to you tell you about the next amazing business idea, or just to sit and tell you a joke. His laughter was contagious, and his smile was amazing.
Niles, we are sad to see you were not
able to fulfill your dreams, but your
memory will be with us forever.

Condolences & Memories (8 entries)
Hey brother. I'll always remember you forever. I remember when I first met you. We were playing football on the street, and we were short one player. I called you over, you were 8 years old, to play. We played hockey, you played goal. You were a good athlete. I always thought of you as a little brother. We lost track of each other for awhile until we reunited. I'll never forget you. RIP my little brother. Jeffrey - Posted by: Jeffrey Houle (Friend) on: May 22, 2021

My deepest sadness and regret to know that Nile's young life was taken and his family is now left to suffer this large loss. I will miss seeing him at Bomber Games with his big smile. He loved his family and spoke often about his kids and was a proud grampa. Rest in peace Niles. You will be remembered. - Posted by: Kelly Fraser-Hunt (Aquaintance) on: May 16, 2021

I send my heartfelt condolences to all that knew this great man. I send special thoughts to his family and children. He had a great smile, great chat but most of all when you where with him he made sure to know he cared and wanted you to feel important and most of all laugh and have fun. They don't make too many like him. I will remember him the rest of my days. - Posted by: Gord Petruic (Friend) on: May 15, 2021
Jeff first met Niles in his 20s playing ball and eventually hockey together. Over the course of the next 20+ years, they spent many hours celebrating both the wins and losses at the Palomino or other iconic spots in Winnipeg. Niles became a friend to both Jeff and Janet and we all played ball together for a few years. Niles' laugh was infectious, even when we were laughing at his same two "go to" jokes! He was a fabulous dancer and taught Janet the two step at one of many socials we attended. We loved seeing him at Jet games when we would get a huge bear hug and catch up. He adored his children and always spoke about their many activities. We are so very sorry for your loss - he will be missed. - Posted by: Jeff and Janet Mayor (Long time friends) on: May 15, 2021
