KRISTIN FAE DEWAR
January 26, 1990 – May 4, 2021

It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Kristin Dewar on May 4, 2021.
Kristin's memory will live through her two beautiful daughters, Jaedace Jewel (4) and Zaelynn Serenity (2). She can rest in peace knowing that her daughters will always be loved and cared for by Kristin's survivors including her mother Nicki Dewar and Doug, brother Drake, Big Grandma Fae Frohwerk and by her father Darrell Dewar, Little Grandma Jean Dewar and by Kristin's partner Joel and his daughters, Harmony and Shyla.
Kristin came into this world late, loud, chaotic and non-apologetic on a wintery -26C January 26. She was the first born and treasured granddaughter to her now deceased grandfathers, Albert Frohwerk and D'Arcy Dewar. Always the happy drama queen, Kristin grew up playing hockey, ringette, inline rollerblade hockey and swimming at the South Y. Kristin and her brother Drake enjoyed making lifelong friends at Ecole Marie-Anne Gaboury and College Jeanne-Sauve. Childhood summers were spent surrounded by family and friends at Silver Bay on Lake Manitoba and at Gull Lake. She loved her vacations to Disney World Orlando, EuroDisney Paris, Six Flags and her other many road trips.
It was natural that Kristin's first job was working at CFS in a group home with underprivileged children. She was a born earth mother and such a proud parent. Her girls were the pride and joy of her life. We will always share stories with Jaedace and Zaelynn about their mother's love for them, all children, animals, shenanigans, and of course her immense love for her friends and family. We have set up a dropbox online at tinyurl.com/KristinD2021 and are asking for photos, videos, emails, texts and/or funny stories about Kristin. The legacy of Kristin's strong spirit, passion for adventure and zest for life will always live on through her girls.
Most things came easy to Kristin. She had so many amazing attributes as she was witty, confident, dynamic and overly smart but accepting advice was not her strength.
Kristin's ashes will be interred at Silver Bay Betel Cemetery, Lake Manitoba and at Gull Lake. A memorial service will take place at a later date after Covid restrictions are relaxed.
The family is extremely appreciative of all the outpouring of support during this tragedy.
Donations in Kristin's name to the Bruce Oake Memorial Fund will help save lives: Bruce Oake Memorial Fund, Unit 1 - 883 Notre Dame Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0M4.
