As well, many cousins and their families in England with whom she corresponded regularly survive her.
She will be dearly missed by David Self and John McAuley, friends for nearly thirty years; her friends at St. Hilda's Towers in the Lewis Garnsworthy Residence where she had lived for over 25 years, by her friends at St. Martin-in-the-Fields Anglican Church, Toronto, where she attended services, and by all the friends who helped her during her many hospital visits during her cancer treatments.
Allison worked in Winnipeg for Silverman's and Bowring's before coming to Toronto where she worked for many years at the William Ashley China Company in Toronto before retiring, then taking up pet sitting. She adored cats and dogs and the animals and clients loved her.
She was always active in the Nutcracker Fair at Christmas, always taking on new activities in art, staying healthy practicing Tai Chi and enjoyed travel, visiting friends and family in England, friends David and John in Barbados and Prince Edward County.
Allison was an independent woman of impeccable style and grace. She will be remembered for her enthusiasm for life and love for her family as the matriarch. Her love of art and culture transcended to her many art mediums, which she willingly shared with her friends. She lived life to the fullest every day.
She will be missed by all of those who knew her but she will always be remembered.
Cremation will be arranged through Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home in Toronto and there will be a private burial service due to COVID in July with her ashes interred in the Old Section of the Wellington Cemetery, Wellington, Hillier, Prince Edward County, Ontario.
If you wish to make a donation in her memory they can be made to Plan Canada or Operation Smile Canada. These are charities, which Allison supported.
