MARY ANNE SCHREYER
(nee PANKIEWICH)
May 25, 1936 - May 23, 2021

With love in our hearts, we must say farewell for now, to a soul whom shared our lives for nearly 85 years.
As a first generation Canadian, Mary's Eastern European roots fed a resilience and determination that carried her throughout life. Mary moved to Winnipeg on her own at 15 years old from Vita, Manitoba. She managed to put herself through secretarial school and marry the love of her life of over 65 years who shared her love of pattern dancing and tenderly cared for her until her dying days at their home in Transcona.
Mom was predeceased by her son Richard Wayne (Lisa); her parents, Ludwig and Angela (nee Wolanski); siblings, Michael, Victor, Yadwiga, Clementine, Alfred and Rudy.
Left to remember Mary are her husband Richard Jack; daughters, Wendy Anne Bain (Randy), and Melanie Dawn Pearson-Morfitt (Bill); sister Valerie Oakley (Ken); grandchildren, Michael Bain (Jennifer), Kristi Olson (Steven), Erin Pearson, Kira Pearson, Creighton Schreyer, and twins, Dawson and Ashleigh Schreyer; great-grandchildren, Adam Bain, Allie Bain, April Olson, and Hannah Olson.

"Love is the most important gift
you can give someone.
You gave us yours, and now
we all gift you ours".

A service will be held at Green Acres Funeral Home at a future date once local Covid restrictions allow.
