He leaves to mourn his children, Teresa (Brad), James (Shannon), Joseph (Stash), Russell Jr., Robert (Stephanie), Thea (Kevin), and Lillian (Steve); 14 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; his two sisters, Elsie (Gary), and Lena (Peter); and brother Glen.
He was predeceased by his mother Eva Kirby (Monkman), father William Kirby, his late wife Joyce Kirby (Pagee), and his brother Arthur.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
