HELENA DZIECH

It is with sorrowful hearts, the family wishes to announce the passing, on May 31 2021, and celebration of the life of Helena Dziech.
Helena was born in Kielce, Poland in 1925. She survived the tribulations of the Second World War.
Helena married her beloved Zygmunt in 1945 and immigrated to Canada in 1965 with their three children to start a new life. She worked very hard along with her husband to provide for the family. She loved living in Canada and said it was the best country in the world to live in. She lived a long and happy life and she created much joy for us. She will be greatly missed because she was the center hub of the family for so many years and we loved her with all our hearts. Her focus in life centered around her faith in God, love of her family, and enjoyment of fine food. Mother set an example of how life should be lived. She taught us that patience, love, and perseverance would be rewarded. Mother's biggest pride in life was her family.
Part of Helena's long life can be attributed to her unshakeable faith in God the Almighty and the Virgin Mary. We know that Helena is being rewarded in Heaven for her faith.
Her golden years were spent making many trips away, and daily visits with her family to her house. Later, family visits to her retirement home were also made on a daily basis.
Helena was predeceased by Zygmunt in 1988 and her brother Edward Garlicki in 2018. She is survived by her sister Janina Szyszka. She is also survived by her three children: Zbigniew Dziech (Sophie) and grandchildren, Greg, Mark and Joanna; Vicki Radulescu (Marin) and grandchildren, Jeffery and Danny; Jean Mattson (Richard) and grandchildren, Amanda and Eric. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.

Till we meet again.

Wieczny odpoczynek racz jej daj Panie.

God gives her rest and eternal joy.

Thank you to the staff of West Park Personal Care Home for their kind care and attention to Helena's needs over the past seven years.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Dearest Zbyszek, Vicki, Joanna and families. My sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a remarkable lady who was always so sincere and positive and who enjoyed life to the fullest. I fondly remember many parties at her house where she served her delicious “pasztet”. May God grant her eternal rest . - Posted by: Ramona Dziarmaga (Friend) on: Jun 05, 2021
