ALFRED WILLIAM WALTER GUENTHER
Alfred was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Hildegarde, and his sister Karin. Left to mourn his memory, are his nephew Karl (Tammy); his nieces, Theresia and Angelica (Mike); his great nephews and niece, Austin, Tristin and Charlotte-Anne.
He was born on December 6, 1957 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Spending most of his life in the St. James area Alfred made many, many lifelong friendships. He had a love for dogs and a passion for muscle cars, especially his Roadrunner... fondly remembered by many as "the black car".
Alfred spent the first half of his working life at the Rogers Sugar plant moving on from there to New Flyer Industries. A lot of his friends will also remember his days bartending at Georgie's.
Whether you knew him as Al, Big Al, Fred or Freddie, you are sure to have many memories of wild nights and good times together, with stories to retell with laughter and tears.
Due to the pandemic restrictions at this time a small family service will be held, however we ask all who knew him to raise their glass in a toast to a great uncle and friend.

Fred JR will be missed dearly from all who knew him, he was a great friend and neighbor and was always talking about his love for his football team the Denver Broncos. He always had a smile and a wave every time we saw him. RIP my dear friend. Thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends who knew him. - Posted by: Dawn Jackson, Jeff and Fred Demkey (family friend ) on: Jun 05, 2021

Sincere condolences to Al's family and friends. I worked with and got to know Al through our work at NFI. I found Al to be a sincere, honest and hard working individual. Al was respected and trusted by all who knew him and was an easy person to befriend. Although gone, you will always be remembered and not forgotten.
