Ted was the beloved father of Lori (Jay) and Margie, brother and best friend to Ev, Uncs to Pat (Greg) and Bonny, brother-in-law to Jack, Uncle Ted to Sherrie (Dan) and Cindy (Glenn), and Poppa to Hannah, Jace and Joe.
In this past year, Dad often said that he just wanted to sing. We expect that you're doing just that. Mom, Babba, Dan and Norma have the table set and the cards dealt. Enjoy the game, Dad. At the head of our table, there will be a huge empty space where you sat with your goofy grin, your hearty appetite and your second dessert stomach.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date when Dad can get the attention he so deserves from his family and friends from the Blue Bombers, The Golden Chordsmen, the Happy Homesteaders, Good Neighbours Choristers and his neighbours from Fred Douglas Place.

Condolences & Memories (13 entries)
My fondest memory of Teddy, as a teenager, was him singing "Oh Holy Night" at Christmas. So sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Maureen Queau (Cousin) on: Sep 13, 2021
Condolences to Ted’s family on their loss. I sang with Ted in the chorus and in Soundsation Quartet. We had some great times, especially on Valentine’s Day, and on annual Barbershop get-togethers at Clear Lake. It was great singing next to a guy who wore a Grey Cup ring. - Posted by: Bob Shawcross (Friend and Barbershop Quartet partner) on: Jun 12, 2021
Our sincere condolences to your family on the passing of Ted. I enjoyed singing with Ted in the Winnipeg Barbershop Chorus for 25 years and for a few years in the TEMPO quartet. I have extra special memories of the quartet performing "singing Valentines" around Winnipeg and for my sister in the hospital just prior to her passing. Ted will enjoy singing with his fellow riser mates who have joined the Barbershop Chapter Eternal. From so many of us, his friends and fellow residents at Fred Douglas Place in Winnipeg, we send our fondest greetings and deepest sympathy to Ted's family at the loss of a wonderful man. So sorry for your loss......Hrysio family - Posted by: chip hrysio (family) on: Jun 05, 2021
Sorry to see this news today. I recall meeting Ted after Dan and Ev moved into the house at the corner of Maple and Poplar streets, being a bit of a celebrity as a football player! It’s a tough time for managing situations like this nowadays, but love can see us through the hard times. All the best to you all, especially Pat, Bonny and Ev. - Posted by: Iris Gold Rountree (Pine Falls neighbour) on: Jun 05, 2021
Lori & Margie, so very sorry to hear about the passing of your dear Dad, he was always such a happy man. I did not realize that your Mom had passed away, she was so very special to me and my family when I worked with her. Sending you love at this difficult time. - Posted by: Venetia Bourrier (Friend ) on: Jun 05, 2021

Condolences to Ted's family as you grieve the loss of a father and grandfather and brother. I went to school with Ted and his sister Evelyn, way back when in Lac du Bonnet. Those were the good old days and I have many fond memories of those years. "Teddy", as he was called then, was one of the first teenagers to own a car. What fun it was to pack into the "rumble seat" and go driving on a Sunday afternoon....and no seat belts!!! I was fortunate to meet up with Ted in recent years at the Chordsmen concerts. It was good to catch up on what had happened in out lives over the years. All of you, his family, will have many memories to comfort you in the weeks and years ahead. In sympathy for your loss. I was so sorry to learn of Ted's passing. He was a great guy and SO proud of his association with the Blue Bombers. We were lucky to have him and Wyllea volunteer for us at Touchdown Manitoba a few times too. I also knew Ted from the Golden Chordsmen - my Dad did sound for the group for years (such a small city we live in!). My heartfelt condolences to Lori and Margie, and to all of Ted's family and friends. - Posted by: Cathy Garski (Friend (Blue Bombers)) on: Jun 05, 2021
