JAMES RICHARD NERODA
September 3, 1941 - May 30, 2021
Jim was predeceased by his parents, Nick and Lil, and other family members. Over the past few years he battled serious health problems with profound courage and never once did it dampen his spirits.
He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 60 years Irene. Besides Irene, he will be lovingly remembered by his daughter Jamie and her husband "Bruce, daughter Leann and her husband Ed; grandsons, Trevor (Amber), Ryan, Edward and Brendyn; granddaughter Melissa; and great-grandsons, Caleb and Stanlee. He also leaves to mourn his loving sister Janet and her husband "lil bro" Don, their sons, Craig (Jill), Darren (Colleen); as well as numerous family and friends, especially lifelong buddy Ron Rosmus. He is already missed by his "fur" grandbabies, Pebbles, Hunter and Blanche.
Jim had a huge love for baseball, especially his LA Dodgers. In fact, he would have gone on to pitch in the MLB but Irene came along and stole his heart and that was the end of that. He also had a love for five pin bowling, which he achieved numerous awards for, until Lupus took over his life. Dad used to love going camping in the mountains with all of his girls. He especially loved travelling to exotic places with Mom, Janet and Don. Jim was a printer by trade and worked for many companies making many friends along the way. His greatest love and pride was his family. He loved spending time with all of us, especially his grandsons. He was a handyman for all of us. We all have a homemade shoe rack that we'll cherish always.
Our family would like to extend our sincerest thanks for the compassion and care he received while at the Grace Hospital. A very special thank you to family physician Dr. Stephen Choy for his care and commitment.
Cremation has taken place. Due to covid a service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the charity of one's choice.
Jim, thank you for the years we had.
Thank you for the memories we shared.
We only prayed that when you left
us you knew how deeply we cared.
Your wings were ready but we weren't.
May the Lord guide you through your
next journey. You will never be forgotten.
We will always love you.
In our hearts forever.
Rest in eternal peace our sweet Daddy.

Jimmy was my supervisor at my work, what wonderful memories I have of him. Nobody made me laugh more than he did. Always had a new joke to tell, always had a smile on his face. What a wonderful way to be remembered, for his sense of humour. Irene and family so sorry for your loss. - Posted by: Yvonne Stephen (Friend ) on: Jun 06, 2021
