NORMA JOHANNSON
(nee GUDJONSON)
Norma was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Harry Gudjonson. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Ron; her children, Verne (Bonnie), Bruce and Christine (Kelly); her grandchildren, Ryder, Colton, Breeze (Alex), Sabryna, Madison (Glen) and Ashley (Brett); her great-grandchildren, Jayden, Braylon, Benjamin, and Callie. She is also survived by her sisters, Suzanne (Peter) and Shirley (Gordon), as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Norma grew up in Arborg on the family farm. Ron and Norma were married on December 24, 1963. They raised their family and lived in various communities throughout Manitoba. In 1975, they moved to the Pine Falls area and later built their forever home.
Norma's life revolved around her children and in later years her grandchildren. She was always active in the community serving on the school Parent Advisory Committee, the Pine Falls Hospital Board and the Powerview Athletic Association. She thoroughly enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren in all sporting activities.
Norma and Ron enjoyed travelling and spent many winters in Arizona and Texas where they made many friends. Norma was an amazing cook and enjoyed gardening. Everyone was always welcomed into her home with a cup of coffee and a hot meal. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
The family would like to thank CancerCare, the IERHA Home Care, and Dr. Abiseva for the wonderful care she received. Also a very special thank you to Norma's lifelong friend, Dorthy, who was always there for her.
A family service will be held at a later date when restrictions are lifted.

Dearest Vern, Bruce, and Christine. I was saddened to hear of the loss of your mom. I hope that the fond and happy memories will soon fade your sorrow and sadness. I remember her fondly, and the kind lady she was, particularly to me. I can still hear her contagious laugh. Ronnie, I was saddened to learn of Norma's passing. Having only met her on a few brief occasions it was easy to pick up on her fiery spirit and her joy of life. You two were a great couple.
