Joseph was born in the small town of Ste-Genevieve, Manitoba, he was the son of Sauveur and Lucie (nee Legal) Desrosiers. He lived in many cities, across Canada, but Manitoba was always home.
He was the loving husband of Suzette Hafner and lived in a number of cities together, Ottawa, Montreal, and Cambridge.
He was Dad (Papa Jos) to his five kids, Arthur, Georges, Lucie (Jim), Claudette (Robin) and Ginette (Rodney). Dearly remembered by his surviving brothers, Rene and Gerard; and sisters, Agnes and Claire. He will also be remembered by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and large extended family and friends.
His career included teaching, Principal, Federal Civil Servant in language training for National Defence. His extensive travels to numerous continents and love of sharing those experiences made for many enjoyable chats with him.
Funeral services for Joseph will be livestreamed on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. CST from Waterloo. Cremation to follow. Celebration of Life will take place later in Manitoba. To join our livestream of the service please visit www.grahamgiddyfh.com

Our sincere sympathy to you Suzette and Desrosiers family. I grew up in Ste. Genevieve and lived near Joseph and family. We are cousins and we visited often. I left Ste. Genevieve and moved away to.
