EVELYN ISABELLE BEAUCHEMIN
(LAMOUREUX)
March 2, 1935 - June 1, 2021
She was predeceased by her son Lionel in 2012, her daughter-in-law Terry Redmond in 2020, and her brother Victor Lamoureux in 2019, as well as her parents.
She leaves to mourn her sisters, Edna, Louise, Therese and Rita (Grant), and her many in-laws, many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was the second oldest, born to Fred and Isabelle Lamoureux and grew up on the family farm in the LaFontaine school district near Eriksdale. After Normal School, she taught there for several years, even teaching her younger sisters and brother. She moved to Winnipeg and had a long career with the CIBC bank where she made many lifetime friends.
Evelyn enjoyed travelling and did so when opportunity presented itself until more recent years. She enjoyed old time country music and dancing. Charlie Pride was a favourite. She had a great sense of humour and enjoyed going out to celebrate special occasions.
Funeral service has taken place at Neil Bardal Funeral Centre and Brookside Cemetery on June 9, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Siloam Mission or Winnipeg Harvest, as during Covid they are in need of such support, or charity of your choice.
We would like to thank all the staff at Grace Hospital and the Health Sciences Centre as they took care of her from May 1 to June 1.
A celebration of Evelyn's life will take place in the future.
