In the early morning of June 7, 2021, Ken finally lost his long battle with cancer.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Elsie, of 57 and one half years, sons, Thomas (Roberta) and Patrick (Christa). Also missed by his grandchildren, Cullen, Connor, Brody, Hailey, and his many cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his mother Joan, and his oldest son Russell.
Ken was active in the Boy Scout movement, church and square dance which he enjoyed with his wife Elsie.
During retirement from St. John's College as a chef, he enjoyed leatherwork. He made many items, purses, belts, etc, mostly to give away to friends.
Many thanks to the staff of Riverview Health Care for all their compassion.
Donations in Ken's memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, or a charity of your choice.

  • Dear Elsie and Family, I'm so very sorry for your loss. My deepest condolences to you all. Knowing you all as a teenager. It feels like I lost a family member. I was missing emails from Kenneth and you, so went to search the other one he used, then this. Elsie I pray for your health and comfort. • Dear Elsie - so sorry to read of the loss of Ken - we did have many good times together both in Scouting and square dancing. Thinking of you at this sad time. Though far away in Australia, I have not forgotten those of you back in Winnipeg. Take care and stay safe. Best regards, John - Posted by: John Weltevreden (friend) on: Jun 12, 2021
