THOMAS ALLAN (TOM) ORR (SGT. RTD)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Orr, aged 73, at St. Boniface Hospital on June 6, 2021.
Tom will be sorely missed by his wife Faye Orr; son Chad (Cindy) Orr; daughter Deanna (Andrew) Wilson; grandchildren, Alycia, Cara, Tyrell (Jerusha), Walker, Fletcher, Emma, Abby, Rachel; great-granddaughter Asher; his sisters and brother; brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.
Tom was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario in 1947 to Allan and Alice Orr. Tom was the youngest of a family of four children and grew up in beautiful Northern Ontario. At 19 years of age, Tom took the train to Regina and began his career as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Tom was a very proud Mountie and served for over 35 years in various communities throughout Manitoba as well as "D" Division Headquarters in Winnipeg. Tom met the love of his life Faye while stationed in Rossburn, Manitoba. The couple were soon married and raised two children while moving from detachment to detachment. In the early 80s the family settled in Winnipeg, where Tom coached and cheered from the sidelines in various sports his children played, and took up his favourite pastime, golf. Tom was a consummate family man who truly loved his children and grandchildren. He was so proud of their accomplishments and always loved to hear about their latest exploits.
The family would like to thank the various doctors and nurses who supported Tom during his health journey, including specifically Dr. Brian Rumbolt, Dr. Woo and Dr. Verrelli and the dialysis team at St. Boniface Hospital.
A small service in keeping with current restrictions will be held in Winnipeg on Monday, June 14.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

Ours was a great love-story
that will continue on someday…
