It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clarke Vernon Single, peacefully, with his family by his side, in his home, the morning of June 11, 2021. At the a young age of 67, Clarke left the physical world far too soon, after an eight month battle with Glioblastoma. He fought hard, right til the end. His loving family will miss him dearly, along with friends and relatives whose lives he impacted greatly.
Clarke leaves behind his adoring wife of 44 years, Shirley, his three kids, Brett (Richelle), Erin (Chris) Enns, Kristyn (Chris) Periera, and his grandchildren who were his pride and joy: Leighton, Brynley, Asher, Story, Leo and Max.
Clarke was an avid sports fan, and spent much of his life playing and watching baseball, hockey, football and golf. A Jets fan for life, Clarke committed himself to 31 years of service with the Winnipeg Police Force, followed by eight years with MPI, where he made so many friends.
A Celebration of Life is being tentatively planned for October 2, 2021.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada.
