OLGA CHROL
Predeceased by her parents, Maria and Michael Konarski; husband Stepan, and siblings, Sophia Hryciw and Walter Konarski.
Left to remember are her children, Zenon (Lori), Taras (Cindy) and Iris; grandchildren, Robert, Samantha (Alyx), Sarah (Corey), Steven (Shannon) and TJ (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Ben, Zoey and Tyson; brother Alex (Bev) Turcyzn; sisters-in-law, Luba Konarski, Sofia Gotthard and brother-in-law John (Stella) Chrol.
Born November 1, 1936, Kizliw, Ternopil, Western Ukraine and during the Second World War was forcibly relocated with her family. After the war, they immigrated from Germany to Caracas, Venezuela and then to Canada in 1952.
Olga and Stepan were married May 21, 1955 in Winnipeg and raised their family. Together they realized many accomplishments: their first business Airlies Grocery and then McGregor Grocery and Meats.
A deep and strong faith sustained Mom throughout her life. She expressed her great love for us through her hard work, sacrifices and generous nature. She became everyone's Baba.
Thank you to the First Responders who demonstrated such kindness and compassion to us at a very difficult time. We appreciate the dignified care provided by Mom's home care workers.
As per Covid restrictions, a private family funeral will be held Saturday, June 26 at Holy Trinity Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral. Service will be streamed. This obituary may also be viewed at Cropo.com

I first met Olga in 2018 when I started as a driver for wheelchair service of manitoba taking her to the day program at Holy Family , Since the first day we met she grew closer to me and she always treated me with such a kindness , it was almost like I was part of her family . I cannot express the loss that I feel and cannot imagine what the family is feeling . Olga has left a legacy behind and she will Always be missed for she has made a Permanent place in my heart . Dear Terry, Cindy and all your family. I'm deeply sorry for your huge loss. Your mom is now I believe your angel to watch over your wonderful family. No matter our age the loss of a loved one is never an easy one. May you have memories of love and laughter to continue her legacy. I'm sure she's with those you have loved & lost but in no pain.
